Designing a Mobile-Friendly Website for a Cake Design and Decoration Business

School Website Design Case Study

Service Category: Website Design

Client Industry: Education, School

Business Challenge: The client was looking for a secure, mobile-friendly solution to sell their cake design and cake decoration classes to students. They were unhappy with the earlier website created by an offshore developer in India referred by their cousin since they spent 3 months in unsuccessful email and phone conversations which didn’t go anywhere since the developer and they were speaking a different language and had different takeaways from each conversation. They were looking for a responsive website that would seamlessly work flawlessly across any device – Desktop, Laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android phone & tablet, and smart tv. They were also looking for a website that could be found easily on Google.

Website Platform: Drupal

Solution: Our solution encompassed Business Consulting/Advisory, Coaching, and Co-Creation with the client. After understanding the Business Need the rsquare media team developed a functional spec sheet that listed the must-have features from an end-user perspective as well as the church’s business objectives. Based on the features selected by the client, we recommended that the new website be built on Drupal which has Enterprise-grade security and is known to offer the most security and is a popular choice by government entities like WhiteHouse, UK Government, etc. We also added social media icons to allow easy connectivity to the school’s social media assets online like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc. We integrated PayPal buttons to allow customers to buy the classes they wanted from any device.
